Ernest B. Makulilo

Ernest Boniface Makulilo was born on Wednesday, September 23, 1981. He is number 11th out of 13 children. He grew up in Kigoma, Tanzania. After his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Language from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in 2008, he got scholarship to come to the United States. He arrived in the Fall 2008 as Fulbright Scholar, teaching Swahili Language and African Culture at Marshall University, in West Virginia.

In the Fall 2009, he relocated to San Diego, California. He joined the University of San Diego (Joan B Kroc School of Peace) and studied Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution. Ernest is a U.S. Navy Veteran. He works with a non-profit organization in Kansas as Project Director for African Region. He is married to his beautiful wife, Marie and has two wonderful kids, Benedikt Fulbright (6) and Clare Francisca (1).
